Default How much approximately for a paint job?

I was wondering if anyone could give me an estimate of how much a paint job would cost? From a crappy one to a real good one all i need is an approximate amount.

5k on paint is easy to drop. If you know how to do the prep work and get most of it done yourself ittl cut the cost a little. I just primed half my buddies miata its going for paint soon.

^Wrong. I hope you have practiced on plenty of spare fenders/hoods/etc. cuz your paint will not come out professional.

You sure about that?

OP im not saying you cant do a paint job yourself is hard, its all bout prepping, then more prepping, then spraying, the timing, then spraying, then prepping, then prepping, then spraying, then prepping, then spraying lol.

Prep is almost everything, but to have a professional paint job, you need a professional.
