For a body shop to paint install a wing for your civic?


For install of a body kit and paint?


My friend says he can do a wing for 200 and kit for a grand.

 

what friends should do that **** for free.

well it cost me $200 to get a spoiler and sideskirts paited on my stang and they had to strip the old paint and do a lot of work to get them ready and $50 to install.. the dude was a huge stang fan so he was coo to me.

my buddy went the the same shop, talked to the same guy for a wing for his civic the guy told him it wold be $450 in paint and $200 to install. but then he remembered his uncle ownes a body shop so he gotit painted for the price of the paint. so it was cheap as hell.

so im scared to get a kit for my civ cause the guy wont give me the hook up. but good paint is expensive. do it right or it will look like ****.

if he was ur buddy he should be hookin u up.

 

You should get the thing painted by a pro and then install it yourself. I don't trust myself to do paint work. Installing a body kit is pretty easy. The spoiler is a little harder than the body kit because you will probably have to drill holes.

 

he wants too much...

 

He says he is giving me a good discount and itd be much more if I let pros do it. He works at his neighbors body shop and is learning to paint, so his inexperience and friendship equal about $100 less then he says pros do it for. I thought it was a rip off too.

Im buying his slightly used wings west wing off his 00 civic for $100 but its blue, so i need it painted. but I thought I could just do the wing myself too. It has no 3rd brake light or anything electric, id just need to bolt it in.

 

Make sure you make measurements at least a few times before drilling holes for the spoiler bolts
