Why not? First off, even though everyone in the Civic world believes CF is expensive, it's not. There is no shortage, and prices outside the car market are just as cheap as ever. Second, making that kit, out of CF isn't going to cost the manufacturer anything, maybe 40 bucks. There's no reason it wouldn't be genuine, especially since there is a less expensive fake kit available.

The first one is from the actual site, the rest are ones I just found. I'm not sure if there real or not....but I bet it wont look anywhere as good as the audi.

mxs has a carbon fiber type insert thing in her car...check out the pics in her gallery, you can see one around the shift boot. I found it when i was looking for pics of the ws2 on an ek.
