dont know why it would..... ive never had that problem....
only times ive ever had problems with plexiglass is that realy thin stuff!
i dont like to use anything thinner than 1/8th inch!
it does cost more BUT alot easier to work with....
i always use my jigsaw... what kinda saw did you use? cause ive cut thru the 1/8th inch no problem with melting BUT when i cut thru 0.708inch thickness.... then i had some melting problems.LOL but just took like 2-3times cuting thru it after blade cooled to get the job done...
