Installing drivers side mirror
I have a 97 ex. I was driving and this truck in front of me was blocking alot of horizontal view and he swerved out of the way because there was one of those orange cylinder barricades in a construction zone....but it was to late for me, and I ended up clipping it with my sideview mirror. The white housing completely flew off. But I guess "insides" of the mirror are still there, like the framing and the wires. I can see where the electronic things move to adjust the mirror. So my question is,
How hard is putting a new housing on?
If i where to do it myself, is this all I order-
http://www.amazon.com/MIRROR-DRIVER-.../dp/B000E4SSAG
thanks!
ps-
I've filed a complaint with the city, since the barricade was sticking roughly 1 foot out into the lane..

not hard at all to change out the whole unit. just check ebay for some that are the same color so ya dont have to paint them yourself. just pop off the inner cover from the inside of the door, unplug the wire harenss if they are power mirrors and thiers 3 bolts i believe that hold the mirror on the car. just remove 3 of the bolts and with the last bolt be sure to hold the mirror from the outside of the car so it doesnt fall down and scratch your door up....
