interior mod work -- need some help
hey everyone. i'm taking a lot of the interior plastic pieces out of my civic to paint them various colors. i've gotten everything i want out of the car for painting except for one thing: those damn pieces that wrap around the interior door handle / door lock. i'm in a '99 2-door ex model. if anyone can help me figure out how the heck to get these things out, please let me know. that would be rockin. thanks.
hmm.. yeah, i see how that makes sense because i was able to get most of the plastic to start popping out except for the back end of where you put your fingers in to open the door, that piece is stuck way in there. did you take the whole door panel out to do that, or were you using a long thin piece of metal to stick back there and pop it out? i've been using a long and thin flat head screw driver to get out all of the other pieces and screws, and it can reach back there, but i just don't want to break anything by applying too much force, ya know?
hummm, your talking about the piece thats around the door handle and lock?, there just 1 screw behind the plastic door handle that you pull to open your door, unscrew that and it pops out...but you must be talking about somthing different cuz thats to easy
hey mill$, that's actually the answer i was looking for. i was taking all of these interior pieces out while in my garage (not lit so well) so i didn't even see a screw hole under there when i first looked. thanks for letting me know of its existance! i knew there had to be something i was overlooking. now i'm well on my way for my mod. thanks dude.
