Default lambo doors

bunch of ?s and i know that some people think that this is a waste of money on a civic but i like how they look on some coupes so to them. anyone know some good companys for perferablly bolt on kits. unless you guys think weld kits are better than bolt ons. i have a 2008 honda civic si coupe.

plus if your in the newburgh/middletown ny area i heard that the shops around here don't like to doit cause they can't garentee their work cause i guess they've been having probs with the electrics. so if ya know any good shops i would like to know please.

also is a 45 deg angle for the doors enogh to comfortably get out. i know that the less deg it goes the cheaper the kits usually i was thinking a 90 deg kit but if 45deg is more than enough to get out comfotably then i may just get that. also i might get the type with the remote clicker and shave my door handles.

but basically i'm just looking for people who have done this to there car and want to know what you guys thought worked and what problems i may have. this is gonna be my dd by the way.

Well, since your car is SOOO new, there won't be too many companies that have manufactured kits that are flawless. Plus, kits are quality made that directly bolt-on, which you should get, tend to cost more. I talking 800+ dollars, easily. Now, I do not suggest lambo doors to anyone, UNLESS they can QUALITY parts super cheap. The ONLY reason I have lambo doors is because I found a bolt-on kit really really cheap.

To quote my buddy who has them on his turbo'd integra: "They're great at first, but you get tired of the quick. I always have to baby sit the car when ever getting anything done so I can make sure nothing happens from not being opened right..."

There is a set that exsists that is set up to open both up and out as normal, it's actually got a scissor hinge that allows the door to lift but with a little flip tab it'll open like OE....... The kicker, the company that makes them has yet to make set for anything beyond an eclipse or 3000GT... If they had a set of a civic that'd be the ONLY set I'd own.

Vertical Doors Inc. makes a good bolt on kit. If you get them then install them yourself, most shops will not do it for you and you can do it with two people, it isn't rocket science. I think 45 degrees look better but a 90 would be slightly easier to get in and out of.

I believe the only actual difficult part is getting the door aligned so it shuts correctly... but that's only what I've heard. I've never actually had any experience with them first-hand.
