my vote. rice. but if you spend good money on a good kit and it opens the doors all the way then it maybe nice... but i hate those kits where it only gives ya like 6inches to get into the car! hell i aint gonna bash my head on the corner of the door trying to get in!
i prefer suicide doors if done right for a better mod. but thats just IMO of course... its your money.

From what I've noticed about lambo doors (aftermarket kits) is that the kits are so flimsy and for how much they cost, just shave your handles and get a door popper. I think that's even cooler.

i advice against door poppers.LOL when you have a problem... well YOU HAVE A BIG PROBLEM! if you dont make a backup way into your car your screwed and enjoy breaking out a window to get in!
i had my trucks door handles shaved. sure they look cool but when it comes to a issue they suck! tho they are worse for a trunk since on the newer civics you can just go thru the trunk. as long as you dont shave that door handle that is...

this is what i like... well minus all the other rice on that car.LOL plus he did that one super cheap! (only one hinge per door they should have 2 per door!)

i laughed at the guy because he said you had to pick up on the door to close it... GHETTO!!!!!!!

but that is the style suicide doors that i love so much! no problems geting into the car like lambo doors. only downfall.... AWHOLE LOT MORE FABRICATING!!!!!! eventualy ill do it to one of my vehicles! maybe my 96dx will comit suicide..

damnnnn Those are very nice minus the rice. I'm so much more for the suicide doors than the lambo ones. How much would it cost to install the suicides if done well?

well suicide doors cost ALOT MORE because its all custom fabricating!!!!
only thing you buy is the hardware!
hinges, sticker, bear claw latches. http://store.gaugemagazine.com/compl...nstallkit.aspx

the parts are not the expensive part the installation is tho!
you need a GOOD SHOP that can think on there feet, weld good, and have some metal fabricating skills as well!
at least if you want the clean instal looks.LOL plus they SHOULD brace the door as well from the inside

they have several differnt seperate options. IMO id piece the kit together seperatly.
like these latches. very nice! they are power so no linkages needed just two wires
BUT now for the dangers..... WHATS THERE NAME!!!!!!!! just like old school cars if you accidentally open the door and try to grab it to pull it closed well say goodbye because the wind will try and jerk you out of the car.LOL
so its also BEST to buy this option as well...

http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autol...c=suicidedoors
autoloc is definatly the best name for suicide doors that ive read about!

the whole instal is all custom so find a good shop preferably one thats done them before! there is alot of alignment to do and bracing that must be done!
thats why so many people just do lambo doors because they are bolt on. no fab work needed.

main reason why suicide doors are so special to me i dont like to follow the crowd! give me custom. one day i will have them on my vehicle!!!! and ill instal them myself.

yea i was kinds leaning towards ricey. I was just looking for some cheep way to make it a little diffrent. Lambo doors are rare around where i live so I thought it might be cool. My buddy had lambos on his integra and they were a bit of a pain, he rigged his poor tho. I dont really know a whole lot about sucide doors, what kind of fab work is required? I have manuel locks and windows so wirings not an issue. i cant seem to find a decent explanation on the internet of what kind of work is involved.

well most the work is bracing! from factory the car is designed in the front to hold the weight... not the rear so you have to brace the rear door area and the door itself!
not for the weak at heart when it comes to cutting and welding!

basicaly ya brace the doors internals first and then close the door and start cutting for the hinges and weld the braces for the hinges and weld and bolt the hinges to the car and the door so they are straight before ever removing the factory latches or hinges. once you remove them you test for any sagging or flexing of your bracing and if there is ya fix it and try to adjust the hinges perfectly.
and this all takes quite a bit of time and testing. its not a simple job for sure!
