i would run by and get a quick estimate on it. I mean it could be a simple fix, but then there also could be some frame dmg on it from the accidcent.. if so you have no choice but take it into the shop

Mine has never been in a wreck and my trunk leaks pretty bad too. I havent looked into it yet, but in my experience the majority of trunk leaks come from the taillights (or the lousy seal around them). Any water that would come in around the top of teh trunk...with a seal there where is it channeled to....the taillights...so with a lousy seal behind them it usually comes in there. Another place occasionally is the drain plug under the spare tire. I'd suggest checking that plug and then pulling the taillights...if you can see that water was probably getting in through there, put a nice fat bead of silicone around it and put em back in. That's my $.02.

well my 99 was leaking preaty bad before. it was a weak trunk seal. can you simply pull up on the trunk seal at any points? if so i would replace it and it should fix the leak. it did mine at least. tho mine was leaking from UNDER the seal and it leaked worse when i took the car thru the automatic car wash so the high pressure was forcing the water around the bottom of the seal.

but if ya dont want to buy a new OEM seal then you can always get some clear silicone and pull the seal off the car and force the clear silicone into the U grove where it goes over the metal lip and then put the seal back on, wipe off any extra silcone that may sqwirt out the sides and just close the trunk lid and let it dry.
just as good. but a new seal will be beter because the rubber is stiffer to make a beter upper seal along the trunk lid.

i'm having the same problem with my trunk at the moment. except that i think water has leaket into my backseat and back carpet as well as the trunk. lately its only been the trunk though. if you have a sunroof then check the drain hoses from those. do a search and you will find more info on it.
