Default Lip kit purchase and install price

Hi,

Whats a general price for a LIP KIT (front, side skirts, rear, and grill) (mugen or type R parts) and paint + fit/installed for it all? Figures for each seperatly is prefed. I just need something general in USD.

Thanks
Jeff

Ballpark? $150 each for the front and rear. Another $150 for the sides. Installation paint will be at least $300.

If I were you I would have them painted off the car and do the installation myself. Save big bucks on labor. It's not that tough. You can do it. Maaco or some other chain of auto paint stores shouldn't charge you much to paint them. Maybe $100?

Ok, Just comparing my invoice. Im not disputing the guys work at all but im just wondering compared to others. Heres my invoice breakdown:

TestFit:$300
- setup parts
- drill, grind edges, install hardware
- Remove for paintwork
- install after paintwork

Prep-process 5 peices $250:

- wash
- sand 320 by hand until dull
- plastic anti static degreaser
- adheasion promo
- shop materials $25
- 4 coats pgp primer $40
- 400 grit block sand dry
- 600 grit block wet
- degrease, setup in booth

Paint (labour $100):
- 3 coats ppg color match - $60
- 3 coats clear - $70
- flex agent
- polish

Might be a little confusing but it comes to $845. This is in CAD and doesn't include the lip kit. Its already been primed and ive been happy with all there work. They came highly recommended. Thanks for opinions

Jeff

wow thats a little steep because you still have to get the lip kit, i would go out and get some color match in a can at your local automotive store and some primer and clear and do it youself..thats what im planing to do, i already got my lip kit and it fits perfect, if its poly or abs materal, there wont be a problem with installation
