The type R for 98s is a little bit too, exotic for me. I like the mugen though. Do these just go over the bottom of the bumpers or do they actually lower the clearence? If so about how much?

I think that was my mistake. I was looking online and the picture that came up for the type R wasn't a type R and it was WAAAYY exotic, but then when went to the sites Reaper sent me, I saw that the other site had the wrong pictures. My mistake there, sorry.
It's all good man. it's kind of confusing because there are two general type r style lips circulating for the 96-98 models. There is the type r style that looks like the one on the 99-00 si's but it looks kind of awkward on the 96-98 front end in my opinion because it does not merge with that air inlet thing on the front bumper. Then there is the jdm type r style which is like the one i have. They are both pretty cool i think, but i like the kind i have more.
i just got a type r lip for my 01 civic. it just slid over the stock bumper and they also make foglights that are oem which fit very nice. i have those as well on my car and yes they do not come with the stock civics.

So you just add a lip kit to the bottom of the stock bumper? Cus ive seen people who have lips but at the same time have fog lights, how is this possible if stock civics dont come with a foglight slot?
