must have hit a yellow pole

i must have hit a yellow pole that you usually find at drive-thru's, because i saw on my drivers side bumper a few streaks of yellow about 2inches high and about 4 inches wide.

i tried using a rag with water, with intense elbow grease, but nothing budged. any ideas?

buffer and buffing compound, be careful not to burn the paint.

dont hit yellow poles???? or watch where you are going lol

what the guy above me said just buff it out or just use some scratch x or something to see if that will work first. Most of the time those arent that paint friendly so you might be screwed and have to get it painted/ plastic filled if its gouged

how could u not feel... BOOM..CRUNCH..POW when u hit it?

PunisherInOKC 08-10-2009 10:32 AM

Picture of the damage? Is it just paint on the bumper, or has the bumper warped? And any deep scratches? And as a general headsup - if you want to re-paint, you can't repaint one section of the bumper. You must repaint the whole bumper. $200+ fix for a good shop.

Are you sure you hit something? I have small streaks of yellow road line paint near the underneath of my door could it be that?

Looks like that will buff out man.
And you could always ask a paint shop questions. They can tell you how you can do it yourself. =)
