I'm getting an engine from another 99 Civic with about 80,000 less miles then mine had. and I plan on keeping my old engine and rebuilding it. But future plans for mine is to switch from an auto to a manual. I got this car for less then $4000 and looked it up and it was said to be worth $8000. But it is worth about $3000 now from a drunken weekend scratching up the driver side pretty bad. So after engine, I'm gonna get that body work taken care of then looking into maybe getting a B-2 Extreme Dimmintions body kit and then repainting to a really dark grey like gun metal. From there I am still thinking of other things to do, but the interior will be last.

 

You should have Vtec SOHC. If you don't have it then the previous owner must of done a swap. What are you getting a DOHC B16 or B18 or another SOHC.

SOHC = 1 ********
DOHC = 2 *********
it's your call

 

Due to my budget, a VTEC SOHC with 106,000 miles already on it. Not sure on what all I would need, if anything to install a VTEC DOHC.
However, I deploy in September overseas, my girlfriend will be in Mexico for 4 years for college. So when I get back I will have deep pockets for my Civic .

 

Thats cool. What part to Mexico is she going to. I know it's off topic..lol

 

Oh god, I forgot. She's told me many times. It's somewhere way down in south Mexico. But when she gets back we getting married, I will already be back from deployment.

 

One of you nice people should make me a banner of my piece of **** car. I mean... My wonderful Civic. I kid, I love my car. Just it's all stock except the taillights and soon to be engine.

 

White and Blue 99 Civics are so beautiful! But you need some rims to make it look extra hot!

 

I'm not keeping it white. I repainting it dark grey cause white gets dirty too easy, specially living on the beach
