My list of To Do's
Well, there are many things i want to do to my car... But, I do not have the know-how...
Firstly, on a 1990 Civic Hatch, the cluster:
Change the signal bulbs to LEDs.
Change the illumination (Dim lights) to white LEDs
Change the illumination of the gauges to blue LEDs
The center console:
I discovered that there isa single bulb that lights up all of the stuff.
By stuff, I mean:
The air temperature, air flow, and fan speed.
I want to change that colour of light to blue. But, however, I do not know what voltage of LED or size to get.
Interior light modification:
Basically, just make it sweet. Different colour.
Painting the interior black and blue...
Straight foreward. Really.
I am also on the prowl for some new turn lights. Clear ones.
And, has anyone ever installed a light in the hatch? There is a spot for one, but, does it just plug in?
Also, I know that there was vents to the back seat in the four-door sedan version. Has anyone ever tried that with a Hatchback?
When changing a gauge cluster, what is compatible with my car? Like, would an 88 CRX cluster work? Or would I have to hunt down one from the Sedan version? I do not have a tach, and would like a nice, clean looking one. A factory looking one.
If anyone has ever changed the center console...
For example, where the shifter **** is, there is no housing around it. Does not flow with the ashtray or the rest of the car. Has anyone ever written a DIY to install one from a CRX or something of equivelent?
I will be periodically checking this list, and adding new things.
Any information regarding this list, and what I would like to do, would be greatly appreciated.

well ive never done anything to a older civic...
but if your using leds they will fit where ever you put them, they are pretty small..... but if you got alot of bulbs your replacing with leds i would suggest PREWIRED LEDS!
that way instead of getting the led and then soldering a resistor onto one of its prongs and then find out which prong is supposed to be power and which is ground, which can get frustrating very quickly!
the prewired leds are more money BUT so much easier!!!!
you could also use some SUPERFLUX LEDS PREWIRED AS WELL, they do get brighter and spreads the light out wider, but also cost more money....
just depends how far you want to go..... just get a soldering iron and a HOT GLUE GUN to hold the leds where you want them.

The only thing i need to know about wiring up LEDs are what voltage or size i will need.
I found out that in the climate controls, it is a single bulb that lights up everything.
The light is dissapated through clear plastic, so it appears that several light it up.
Curious if a single LED would do that too...
