CCFL are great, just you cannot buy them from anyone. 99% of what is out there are designed for computers running off a 12v regulated supply. Put those on a car running at 13.8v under the alternator and the inverters that power the tubes become a fire hazard. Take oznium.com for example, I can personnally tell you that their will cause a fire when they fail, my RSX had burn marks in the carpet from their kits that are meant for computer use only.
We now carry both 6" and 12" tubes that are specifically made to be waterproof and take the voltage swings of the car. We also added 40% greater output over any other kits out there. Check them out at our website, you get what you pay for in terms of quality and reliable performance.

Under accessory lighting

40% brighter than any other colored cathodes, guaranteed. Color correct guaranteed, if you order red you get red, not pink. And they are not made for computers, they are made for cars, the power source won't melt, short, or catch fire.
