Paint Job
I have heard that MAACO does pretty good paint jobs. I was thinking about checking that place out sometime anyway to paint my car a different color. But anyway yea look up MAACO http://www.maaco.com/they might have one near you
I haven't heard anything good coming out of macco, not even a friend who had hiscar done.
They don't do the proper/complete prep work. They skimp on even painting and clear coating
so in the end you have an uncomplete finish so you have to go back, and back, and back again to get them to do anything right.
Not worth it in my opinion. Too many people, from places other than St. Louis, Missouri, that have said many of the same things, plus more regarding macco.
Just giving you a heads up.

Maaco is hit or miss, sometimes they do really nice work, sometimes they make your paint worse than before. Try see if you can find some cars they've done as an example, so you'll know what kind of work they do.
If you want to save some money, do your own prep work

your best bet to find a good painter is to ask questions. find out if they do all the door jams and under the hood....the more detail they give you about taking the car apart the better. Also take a look at the shop...make sure they have a good paint booth that will work for a all over paint job....cause alot of smaller shops dont have the booths to do it and keep all the particles out of the air. And of course it always helps to do a little research on paint and what kind you want used. I would say ask around your local area too....cause big name shops might have a good painter in one state and a crappy one somewhere else. If you are willing to pay the price alot of time big car dealerships have good painters because they do alot of warranty work. hope that helps.
all the macco came up while i was typing.....so as for the macco thing...they do decent work if you are trying to sell and car and you want it to look good for awhile...but if you plan on keeping the car for longer than 2 or 3 years i would steer clear of there. they do what we call 20 foot paint jobs...they look good from 20 feet but you would pick them apart if you get up close.
well unless the shop has a warente on the paint job then dont go there.... with paint jobs its usualy best to pay the GOOD SHOP ALOT MORE and have them do it right!
painting is easy...... its the prep work that makes or breaks the looks!
maco is just a cheap i want paint on my car now place.... they could have a good shop were the prep guy knows what hes doing and the painter also knows what he is doing... BUT the chances of both guys knowing what they are doing AND DOING IT RIGHT TOGETHER is not very likely!!!!!
you cheap out.... you get a cheap paint job!
