painted the ls valve cover check it out
that there is a custom color done by me...lol...about 4 coats of FORD blue with a light spray of an almost epty can of blue metalic...i think i cam out pretty sweet...i think im gunna paint the heat sheild and the tranny and block (where i can) Flat black..i think that will look nice...what u guys think?

I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but unless you used barbecue paint, that's not going to hold up too well to the heat. You need to have it powdercoated to last (or just buy one that already is). And I wouldn't paint the heat shield at all for the same reason.
it is high temp enamal paint...made for engine blocks and it is good for up to like 500 degrees i think...i did the civic valve cover with wrinkle paint (which i didnt heat up) as a base coat and just some off the shelf metalic blue pait (not made for high heat) and the civic valve cover had held up just fine...i think it will be fine..if not..its not that hard to pop off strip and do over everyonce and a while...but im sure it will be fine..thanks for the concern
