a quart of paint is enough cause it has to be thinned and it will make about a gallon plus you'll need thinner and primer sand paper clear coat there was a couple other things but i cant exactly remember i'll have to look

depends on color, type of paint, local weather will play a part in how much basemaker to use usually its 1-1 with 2 stage paint, so you will get 2 qts from 1 quart. are you doing close to the same color? that matters in the coverage. you will need an hvlp (high volumn low pressure) spray gun, an air compressor, a water trap, a duust free space. a but load of sandpaper, tack cloth, laquer thinner, spot putty , bondo, grinder, disc for <---, rags, primer, alot of light, respirator (mask), rubber gloves help, so do those hoods, and a jumpsuit/coveralls if you wanna stay halfway clean, the most important ingredient is beer, you cant paint if your thirsty lol.
just the paint materials for my car cost >400.00 then cause i did not know what i was doing it cost me another 300.00 to do it again. and i already owned cpompressor, etc. you want to look at other options before diy, its not cheap. youll probably never do it again, so any stuff left is nwasted money. the prep is tedious, no fun and you have to be precise . it has to be CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN or all kinds of sh@^ HAPPENS TO THE PAINT.
