Painting My Rims
OK heres the deal...I have a 1993 Civic Dx coupe its Aztec green metallic and its sittin on 17's. the wheels that I have are now gray and they have a brushed alum lip. I personally would really like to paint them white (but leave the lip alone) but im afraid of brake rotor dust. I want the wheels to look good and last for at least a season. (I have the wheels off for winter). so i guess what Im asking is should i go with white or should i do something else? and when i do decide i should use that Dupli-color wheel paint right? just remember aztec green metallic (it dont look good with many colors)

The duplicolor wheel paint works really well. Just take you time to do it right and it will last a while. Wash the rims really well then wetsand them completely so the clear coat is off. Once that is done wash them complely to get the dust off and wait for them to dry. Take your time to paint them and do light even coats. Pick up some clear coat as well and clear coat them a couple times after you do the couple coats of paint. dont use engine clearcoat because it will turn yellow though. After its all done they should look really good. But i would use a gunmetal color not white.
I used to have white rims and it was always looking dirty. So I stripped them completly, wet sanded, used Duplicolor High Temperature primer, Duplicolor black and high temp. clear and they came out great. It was WAY more work then I had expected though. As for yours....for sure either black or gun metal.
