Painting Rear Drum Brakes
I didn't know whether this would fit under this part of the forum or not, so forgive me if I've got the wrong place.
I recently got new rear drum brakes for my 1996 civic. They're gray at the moment.
I have black rims and a white/black theme going on, and I don't know what color to paint them. I was thinking black, like my rims, although I don't know if it'll make the rims look stupid if it's all blended like that. I was also thinking white, like the body of the car.. has anyone seen if that looks alright or not? I'm just looking for advice on how to go about it. I also have some disc brakes for the front and the calipers are red, which doesn't fit my color scheme too well.. so I'm thinking I will do those the same color as my drums.
Opinions?
Thanks.

sounds good. white would have looked dumb on the drums. who wants to show off drum brakes?
anyway, if you're painting the rotors, which i suspect you want to so that the rotor edges are black, don't worry about getting it on the braking surface, as it will burn off after you brake a couple times, just don't be surprised if it feels sticky while braking those first couple times.
another thing i recommend is removing the dust shields on the inside side of the front brakes, as they aren't really doing much, and it will look better without them.
