Default please help..paint troubles

hey everyone
well i got a problem with my cars paint. on the wing mirror, the part that is fixed to the car, there used to be a big bubble in the paint, approx size of a quarter. now the other day i noticed that the bubble has gone.. as in the paint has all chipped off and has gone right thru to some white stuff, which i assume is the primer. there is alot of flaky paint around where it has chipped off.

what do people rekon would be the best way to repaint this? should i just remove the flaky paint, and use some touch up spray paint or shuld i actually take the whole thing off the car and sand, and paint the hole thing to get a better match?

any help would be great thanks

Andrew

It'll look best if you remove it and sand, primer and paint.

is it rust?...if not, then i would do what he sead^ sand down around the area and paint, but you would have to get it done at a body shop most likley unless you do that kind of stuff, but if its just small, i would grab some touch up paint for now
