I got a 97 dx coupe 5 speed, unfortunately as you know the dx is the base model so I don't have the luxury of enjoying power windows and power locks, still besides the fact I love my civic. Ive been thinking about upgrading and adding power windows and locks to my civic, from what I've heard this would run me approximately $400. As an unemployed college student this isn't too affordable and I would rather take on the task myself and gain some experience. Does anyone know if I could just buy the interior door panels from a higher trim level civic with the motors for power windows and that would work? I'm not should what this project would involve and if it's even possible for someone with minimal experience to take on. Any advice or input is appreciated thanks.

 

i have a 1993 civic lx i bought another 1993 civic lx it had a brand new air conditioner and other things i needed i will sell you the parts you need they all work the electric windows, power locks, and door pannels for cheap just get with me at 256-898-5931 i also have a bunch of other parts i dont need

 

Your gonna need to run the wires also. I heard its a huge pain to do it

nope 96-00 civics are different than newer ones or older ones
