Default Project door ding removal

I'm sure I don't need to remind anyone here that Civics are a magnet for door dings...

I've had my door panels off a couple of times for window track repair, that's easy enough. But I'm wondering how to access the sheet metal beside the back seats in a coupe (1998). I've looked at the FSM (scan quality isn't that great), but was wondering if it's possible to pull the interior plastic out enough to access the sheet metal without having to disassemble the interior?

Dammit, I was afraid that would be the case. I'll have to save that part of the process for a very, very, slow, boring day. Maybe in 2010
