A retrofit means you're going to take out that glass projector (made for halogens) and switch it out for a projector from a car like a TSX or any other one you can get a hold of (made for HID). You'll get a better output from an HID lightbulb kit if you retrofit. Or you just put HID bulbs in them the way they are now and they will work fine, but people will flash you on the freeway because they will throw the light in their face.
