I didn't want to start a new thread for this so I decided to use an old one.
I've had my car for almost a year, and have just realized that my climate control never actualy turns off. I can turn it to the "off" position, but it still blows air. It's kind of a PITA to adjust the temperature when the friggin things "off". Does anyone know if this is normal? or is there something I can do to fix this? Thanks

probably a faulty switch

does it change fan speed at all when you turn it to off?

It changes it to an almost "super low" fan. But I mean, it's pretty noticeable on a nice afternoon, when you had the heat on in the car in the morning lol. It seems like it does change speed when turned off. I thought it might have been when I put my dials back on, I put it on a little crooked, but that doesn't even make sense lol.

yea, even crooked it should still turn all the way down. since you know it's crooked, try straightening it out and see if it does anything

truthfully all signs point to a faulty switch, you don't need to remove the dash to replace that.
if you have a 99-00 do this:

this should tell you how to take apart the console

follow addiction2bass's LED DIY, it should tell you how to get to the switch area (post #2)
