Default repaingting my car

i am about to repaint my car and i was wondering what grit sand paper and what prep work i need to do

He is willing to try it himself, i would do it too, just to say i did it myself.
Well you should find the answers if you search, i think it was covered before.

are you using high density rollers? i heard that makes the paint job actually look pretty good..

I agree. If you dont know what grit, then you need to go and talk to someone at a body shop so he can learn first hand before he tries it.

I didn't mean you couldn't do it yourself, what I meant is before you get into a big project like this do a lot of reading and talking to people who have experience. And some practice also, like on car doors from the junkyard. I have considered doing the same myself, so right now I'm just reading a lot, and I had some partial painting and prepping practice with the painting of the interior of my car.

i can paintlike its nothing i just didnt know what to use to sand the car to get it ready to paint

I repainted my rear bumper. I used 60 grit, 100 grit, then 1000 grit for the final sand. It ended up looking good and smooth. The part that gets you is what paint to use. Dont go the cheapest route.
