Default Reupholstering Door Panels

I'm strongly considering reupholstering the material portion of the door panel on my civic to a nice orange fabric to match the car. I'm curious as to what type of material you suggest me covering it with. Also if anyone has any experience doing this sort of project I would appreciate some feedback and tips.
Thanks.

crushed velvet, it's easy to mold to the panel.

Really any fabric will work as long as you cut it on the bias and us good spray glue.

Yeah, pretty much any fabric will work. Once I get my paint job (next summer), I'm going to be reupholstering the door panels and fabric-wrapping my center console and a few other things. Anyway, this DIY will probably help a lot.

*edit: In this DIY, the guy actually uses fabric.

ball up ??? you mean like cotten when it gets worn in that case no but whatever material you use get some uv and stain protection for it.

about 1/2 to 3/4s of the way down to see my door arm rests... very easy to recover it! with a dremel and some spray glue and either a hot glue gun or some epoxy.

i used tweed for mine.... around the front curved part is tricky to stretch the material and be smooth but simply keep at it stretching it different ways and try not to have any wrinkles. hardest part for me was to keep the tweed material in a straight thread design. any other material is very easy!

nah not cotten...i forget what kind of material...but i plan on removing that material and putting a material that is sort of the same material as stock. seen some (i believe its this) y77 vellet or yff velvet. seemed almost the same...but they only had it in gray. i wanted it black.
