Is that the stock boot? if so how do you keep the boot up?

i didnt know what that was for....... i thought it was for the ****.....oops....[:@]
i keep the boot up by placing a thick rubber band woven really tight up against the top of the shifter. I put some black electrical tape over the rubber band to make it look dark for aesthetic reasons.
the rubber band forces the ring to stay up against the shiftknob lock nut. some doods say use a washer instead.
I say use a rubber band, because it won't scratch your shifter.
