Scratch Remover

Default Scratch Remover

long story short!... i go rear ended... he hit.. he ran... minor scratches... touched it up with hondas paint... now it looks good but its like thicker than everything else.. how can i bring it down to the cars original paint level?.. and also some have like paint strokes... how can i bring it down 2 the cars original paint level?.... somebody suggested putting a scratch remover on it will bring it down.. anyone know?

scratch remover will do nothing for that, what you need to do is sand it down with a really fine grit sandpaper, preferable wet, like 1000-2000 grit it will smooth it out for you and all you would need to do just buy a bottle of clear coat from wherever you got ur paint. It shold look decent.

Langka really works good on removing heightened touch-ups, but sandpaper works a lot better though more time consuming. Get some 2000-3000 grit auto sandpaper and cut out small eraser sized circles. Take a wooden pencil and use some rubber cement to bond the cut out sandpaper to the eraser tip. This helps focus your sanding on the raised paint and NOT the surrounding area. Takes some time but provides excellent results. I would suggest getting a paint touch-up pen opposed to paint in a bottle and brush (big blob, brush marks[:@]). This will cut a lot of time off of your sanding. Good luck!

Yeh, you're gonna have to sand it. No way around that without affecting the original paint. Make sure you put a clear coat on top after.

Dude, i tried some of that Duplicolor clear in the spray can and it looks like ***. I used smooth overlapping strokes and all that jazz and it actually dulled the shine of the paint. WTF??

this is duplicolor paint i did for a buddy on his fender. turns out great if you just take your time

Lol wow post from 2005. They were talking about scratch remover. Duplicolor paint does come out great, but if you use that scratch remover, it doesnt look too good
