Default Seat Belt Assembly Removal 96-00

Hey guys... doing a full interior job on my 97 sedan. Going Black and Tan with SEM vinyl dye. New carpet and such. But, a few things I'm concerned with on the color swap...

The Seat belt assembly seems to be ... a fairly permanent fixture to the mid support beam.. I've removed the majority of the plastic surrounding it, shy of the actual cover that can't come off, due to the seat belt adjustment hook being in the way.
Also, the seat belts themselves... I know Honda made a tan interior for this car, curious how easy it would be to actually find a seat belt assembly in tan to replace these with...

Also, considering reupholstering my seats.. would it be cheaper to do so in black/tan or... just find some tan seats from a junk yard? (front and back).

I plan on two-toning the dash... with the top (vinyl) part of the dash black, with the glove compartment/center console area tan. Euro styled civic interior ftw.

I did the full color swap. Not too hard. Just time consuming.

The plastic cover on the seatbelt adjustment thing at the top does actually come off. You have to carefully pry it. Under it is a big *** bolt.

You'll have to use black Integra seat belts for the front seats. Integra ones won't fit on the back though. I had to use grey ones on the back from a 96-00 Civic.

come to think of it, the trick on the seat belt adjustment thing at the top is to squeeze the buttons on the sides in and then pull outward on the cover.

oh werd.. so it does come off... I just imagined I'd snap it in half or something...

Black seat belts would work... unless I can just find a totaled 6th gen in a junk yard with tan seat belts. =/ If so... bazing... I'll jack the front and back seat belts, and front and back seats while I'm at it....

Although with euro styled interior I want... I wish I could find an EL with the leather interior man... that would be dope.

You ever use SEM on carpet? My carpet is factory... so it's, you know, used... so I'm thinking of not being a cheap *** and just replacing it with some black aftermarket carpet.

You can have the seatbelts rewebbed in new material. Thats what i did for my old caprice i had. Look at my pics i changed the interior to all black and the seatbelt webbing is all brand new black. Its not that hard to do. I do custom upholstery, see if a shop in your area will do it. Some wont do it for safety reasons but as long as you do it the same way there should be no problem.
