Side Mouldings..painted?
Is it possible to take off my black side mouldings then have them painted? Also, is it hard to take the black ones off, or will I most likely break something, then not be able to put them back on? Anyone's advice would be appreciated!

there are clips on the insind or the interior panels but im not sure how easy they are to come out without breaking anythign...just go to homedepot and get a roll of that plastic drop cloth with the blue painters tape on it..tape it off real good and you will be fine...i think i have a link that explains step by step instructions for this...let me look and ill get back to you
here is 2 links one is step by step and the other is just a forum discusion on this topic

I noticed on all the step-by-step instructions, and by most peoples feedback, they were painting their side mouldings black, what if I have black (faded) side mouldings, but want to paint them milano red, is that recommended?
i think it would be ok...just make sure you do a good job with it....i would buy a can of clear coat too and put a few coats of that on top...also i would say you should put atleast 3 coats of the paint and a couple coates of clear and it should be fine....make sure if you put clear you dont make you moldings look more shiney then the rest of your car..thats only mo i guess if you liked it that wasy then go for it..heh...i dont know about the plastic but you might want to try some 400 or maybe even 600 grit sand paper first and your paint will stick better...just make sure its real fine grit
