i don't think the wing would help at all on a FWD, only add more drag. Unless you put the wing on your hood that would be a diff story, but that would even more dumber then having it on the rear

Actually, Honda Tuning had an article proving that a spoiler on a FWD DOES actually help. But, only if it is lightweight(CF) and MOSTLY on for AutoX vehicles. So, I don't know. I'll look for that article tho, I got a stack of them.

theres nothing wrong with having a wing on your car... just keeep it clean. IMO, i wouldnt expect to feel any difference in daily driving with or without a wing... truthfully, they're really just for looks.

its weard how everyone calls them rice (most of the big metal ones are) but when i go to a car show, over 90% of cars have them, and im talking pretty big ones..not the little ones that actaully look good

that's because most show cars have a lot of rice piled on them. imo...

...justin, look up a few posts, it CAN help improve handling, but it's rare that people do it right...not to mention its only a minor improvement

about 1 out of 947652109721 civic spoilers create effective downforce.

spoilers are the same principal as the way a wing flies, basically, since its curved on one side, the air on that side has to move faster. the faster moving air causes a lower pressure, but only on that side because hte other side is flat and isnt moving as fast. basically the wing creates its own vacuume (that isnt really much of a vacuume, just an area of low pressure) and as we all know, things move from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure. this force pulls the wing downward, which pulls the car downward, which creates better traction.

spoiler/airplane physics in a nutshell.
