I am pretty sure that if Honda saw a big a' wing as doing something positive for the car they would of put it on stock or even the new chevy colbalts.

in front wheel drive cars they do nothing they are just for looks
<<<physics major in college
I wouldn't say they do nothing on a FWD. they help cornering at a certain speed. but I'm sure you know a lot more than the Honda engineers that designed the Integra Type R.

Okay so my opion here as well... I will not argue FWD, RWD, or AWD in this... Basically if anyone remembers the RoadRunner came with a Large, effective spoiler, it did serve a purpouse as do some... Why wouldn't a manufacturer put one on? Well increased resistance can lead to loss of fuel economy. Most car manufacturers aren't building cars for performance alone. Look at the WRX STI it has a large spoiler that is functional (I.E. Creates downforce). It just comes down to at what point do these make a difference? Where can you even find a spoiler that is effective for a Honda? If you could find one would it be worth the loss in fuel mileage? If you want to create one that's functional you can just as easily pop rivet a piece of 6" plexi glass accross the trunk of your car so it sticks up... Angle it back a big and it should catch some air and create downforce at higher speeds... Nascar is low tech compared to some race venues but they don't add their spoilers for looks....

Conclusion: Large spoilers can be effective but the chances of you getting one for a honda that is large and creates downforce is slim to none so don't bother unless you're going to race and put a TON of research into finding one.

Just my thoughts on the matter
