Make sure you have all the wires disconnected also. When I took mine out the first timeI was sitting in my car for like an hour having no idea why it wouldn't come out because I took out all the screws I could see then I look under the dash and see that the manual wire for the climate control was still connected to the dash. (I have a 97 so the climate control is probably hooked up different but addiction has the same as you)

You mean the radio console area? I'm guessing you removed the outlet console thing. You have to remove the whole thing, like not just that panel, it comes out at a whole piece. Radio, AC controls and all. There are 4 screws that hold it in to that metal frame right behind where the outlet is. Plus there are like 1 or 2 plugs for the radio and 3 for the AC controls. The plugs holding in AC controls in were the biggest paint for me. Once you get those out it should all pull out. Here's the diagram from the service manual on how to remove it:

I'm not sure how much that will help if you guys have different generation cars.

It'll help dfdon since he has a 6th generation car too. I also have the older generation service manuals if anyone has a specific question I can look it up.

No, I mean that danomatic93's pictures aren't going to help since he has a 5th gen even though I would still like to see them anyway.
