taillight gap

just picked up a nice set of si tails but when i installed them, i have a little gap..is this normal, and would this be bad if water got in it?

if the gap is to big it might turn your trunk into a mobile goldfish pond
heres what i would try----get 1 of your buddys & give him a flashlight---then stick him in the trunk & close it --ha ha ha ---then hose down the rear of the car with water & see if anything creeps in ----then drive around for about 2 hrs before you let him out

If its small, you can try a bead of silicon to plug it up, just make sure youre clean with it, so that it doesnt look messy.

u could prolly cut out some rubber or flexable plastic and stick it in the crack so nothing gets in there. just an idea, dunno if it'd actully work..

the 1st 2 pics are the ones w/o any gap..looks fine right? the 2nd ones have a little gap..and i dont know why? i tried moving it around, but with no luck..tmw im going to try again, but using a few tools..any opinions would be appriciated.
