Could I still see out of 15 at night without a problem?

 

30% is fine all around!.....anything is too dark

 

the lower the percent the darker the tint?

 

yeah the % is the amount of sunlight that gets in. Tint is definately harder to back up with, but you get used to it. I got %5 on my rear sides and back and you can still see in during the day when light is shining brightly.

Alot of my friends have 5% on the back and 35% in the front, and i dont think it looks too bad. Get whatever you want, i think really dark tint looks really good, and i think the only way it will look bad is if you get the "DIY limo tint" from Walmart that is actually like dark purple lol

 

I have 5% all around and a strip of 5% on the top of the front window. All you can see is a shadow in the day time. At night time you get use to it after a while. I just dont back up as fast as I use too. If the cops dont bother you id go for 5% all around.

 

yeah the cops around here crack down really hard on everonye with 5% in the front. Talk to some locals in your area that have dark tint on the front and see if they ever get talked to about it. I think you just get a fix-it ticket anyway though, but it's still a hassle.

 

I run 5% on the back windows and 20% on the front in all my cars... if you get good quality tint, it's not hard to see out of at night. I was quite surprised, back in High School, I tinted my truck with 5% all the way around with tint from Autozone/Checker... and I had a hard time at night... Now, I have mine professionally done, and he uses good quality stuff... and I have NO problem seeing at night... I didn't even have to get used to it... you can actually see pretty well...

 

20% all around.. looks good on my car.. but i've noticed tints also can play tricks on your eyes depending on the color of your car. My buddy has 35% on his black car and I have 20% on my red and they look pretty close because the black gives it an optical illusion to make it look darker. I got the tints in July and just received a ticket - but he was being nice in giving me the ticket for the tints because he got me doing 78 in a 65, my license wasn't updated with my new address, and tints..

Like es2001 I don't back up as fast at night than I used to, and it can be a pain when I am backing out of my driveway which has hedges on one side so it's a little difficult to tell on that side, but no real problems.
