Tint laws are there so people dont roll down their blacked out window with a gun to kill a police officer. Cops have families like you all, no one deserves to be shot while doing their jobs.

ill ask her tomorrow morning but im pretty sure shes told me before because they are an obstruction of ur view idk why u can have it in the back and not the sides but it has to do with ur line of site n stuff.... just like u can get stopped in IL for having something dangling from ur rear view mirror like a air freshener or soemthing like that.. its a probable cause to stop u.. but ill ask for sure in the morning on WHY

i kinda see why this would make sense. but it doesnt in so many other ways. i can see how something dangling from your rear view mirror can create blind spots. that makes sense. but during the day time.. tints can only help. tints are designed so light is reflected off of them.. so on the side that has the least ammount of light.. you can see right through. if tints are illegal because of an obstruction of view.. sunglasses should be outlawed on the road too.. its the same concept.

and moogly. i see what you're saying here. but someone without tinted windows could just as easily pull a gun. orr somebody sitting in the back seat... where tints are allowed.. could have a gun. it seems like an excuse to me. i mean i understand that the risk is there for the officer.. but that risk is there EVERY time they pull somebody over, tints or not. i whole heartedly agree that nobody deserves to get shot on the job.. but the simple fact is, someone who is willing to shoot a police officer.. is going to. theres plenty of other ways to hide something like that. idk.

just my $.02
