tint or paint my tail lights??

thanks, ill pass by 2night and see if i could spot it, and for WET sanding its 1000grit correct

besides this i want to get a buffing mech. which one would you suggest dewalt? and the compounds from 3m right, i seen body shops using that, you use 2 diff compounds by 3m with a fluffy pad right to resotre it back to normall?

sorry i dont know any of the names of the buffing stuff lol but yea sorry for going off topic

im not sure what buffing mech to use.. i use my DA sander on low speed with a buffing pad. not sure the brand or the compounds either. just what we have at the shop to polish painted fiberglass pieces.

nice thanks for all the help guys, i think i asked every possible question related to this tinting job lol so i think ima just buy the vht night shade and just paint the dam headlights / tail lights lol

okay i did them lol i think i sprayed a little too much since i did 3 coats, (how many coats do you guys spray ??)

what do you guys think?? did i do a good job a crappy 1, this is a close up of the lense them self with the tint spray/ clear coat, i think i just have to sand and buff no?

whoa those were clear tail lights? lol never seen those and i thonk they came out good i would suggest getting a better bulb for the tails though as the light doesnt look like its making it all the way thru...

i also think you should have only tinted the botom row but thats just me

hahahaha yea everyone makes fun of me for having the old old old skoo taillights but i love em lol,yea im thinking of retroing some leds back there,any members here have any led retros ??

thanks everyone, my next project is to paint the headlights, i was thinking of tinting the headlights but i thought why not match the headlights with the car

so im gona paint the headlight housings glossy black and where the projectors go, im going to add a blue ring to it,

i found a blue that almost match's my exterior paint colors so i'll be good to go, plus i can then truly say that no one has my headlights lol since i painted them myself, its kinda good when you know how to do stuff on your own lol

what do you guys think??
