$50 for tint? Where do you live? Around here, the going rate is about $150 avg... I get my windows tinted at a place called Ziebart (here in VA) and they computer cut their tint w/a life-time warranty.

As for removing tint, I'd much rather do it myself then pay someone hundreds of dollars to do it. My suggestion is to wait for a HOT summer's day and the tint comes right off. As for the adhesive/glue residue, I've used nail polish remover and a razor blade. On the rear window, just drench a terry cloth w/nail polish remover or any adhesive remover and it should come right off.

Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong...

I called another place in my area and they quoted $325 to remove tint and re-do. No way in hell I'm gonna pay that. I'm definitely gonna remove the tint myself.

i paid the shop 80bucks to remove my rear window tint and he didnt charge me to remove the other windows...
but dont mess with the rear window if your defrosters still work!

unfortuantly ive only got a few lines that still work i figure if i WANT all my defrosters to work again ill have to smash out the back glass and replace it with a new one.LOL

but its definatly not stock tint..... stock tint wont change colors cause its inside the glass...

Well I'm in Ontario, Canada -- around Toronto-ish.

I was definitely hoping to get all this done for around $200 - $225.

To remove tint... use a razor blade and WINDEX..... I had to peal the tint off my girlfriends car when she got a ticket for it. I tried all kinds of removing chemicals such as goo gone and nothing would take it off. Called my tint guy and he said to use a razor and windex.

I got my 2000 Civic 2 door tinted all the way around 15% with a lifetime warranty for 175.
