I can buy a d16y7 right now for $275, or I could buy a d16z6 for $350 right at this moment, both include EVERYTHING. So I don't see how you get 800ish.

im guessing he means installation too but find a friend who can do it cheap for ya

I d series swap is very easy for a nooby wrencher. And a word from the wise, I would buy anything for your car to begin with, especially since you say you have 0 money. If that's the case, then you're in the wrong hobby.

meh, was thinking of a website that sold engines, not CL(assuming thats what your looking at =) ). And was thinking he would have to get it all installed for him.

A transmission swap would be $500-$1000 if you find a good deal. The thing is, you need the transmission, starter, shift linkage, shifter, new flywheel bolts, flywheel, clutch, 5-speed pedals, clutch soft line, clutch hard line, etc. If you can find a z6 or a y8 that includes the transmission, you're way ahead of the game. But I'd highly recommend you swap out the clutch while the engine/trans. are already out of the car.

And learning to drive stick isn't hard... you should have it down to where you don't even think about it within a week if you drive the car every day.
