I just painted my valve cover and i bought a paintcan and it is clear..is this the same as a clear coat paint or do i need to get clear coat...Cuz i painted my valve cover black 1200degrees and the clear i bought is the same brand but it says clear and its only 500degrees....What should i do?.....

 

No need to put a clear if you have a good few base coats. painted mine semi gloss black and polished the lettering. you can return the clear and get your money back if you want. Just look at my profile.

 

i have never had any luck with spray can clears, they just tend to make it look bad in my expiriance.
