and after finding a new place to ground it, remember to try switching the polarity in case it was right before you switched it...

 

ground is good, my problem is the vtec wire. i just plugged a power source up to the + and left the ground and it lit up. my vtec does kick in, its a d16y8 its more subtle than a dohc engine but it is noticeable especially 1st-2nd gear. i just am not sure which wire to chose. on my ecu can someone tell me which plug on the ecu the vtec solenoid wire comes out of?

rather not run a wire straight from the solenoid. can someone help me out with a diagram?

i guess either trace the cable....
or run from solenoid?
idk what to tell you anymore lol.
maybe you got the wrong cable...?
