Default WATER PROBLEM

I have a little problem with my 94 civic 4dr… everytime it rains, water gets under the carpet of the car… I don't understand how if sometimes I don't get in the car, and the carpet is still wet… when I took my car to my boy who is a mechanic at honda, he told me that the floorboard under the car doesn't have any holes... the carpet only gets wet in the front, like the drivers and the passengers... the rear gets a little wet but not that much... im thinking that the rear carpet gets wet because the water is trveling from the front to the rear... any ideas on how to fix this problem...

The first thing I would do is check all of the door seals to see if there are any tears or gaps. If you can't find any, remove the seats, get in the car with a flashlight, and have someone hose down the car. Run your hands along every possible entry point.

Good luck!

Dave

Hey im having the same problem...i suggest what i'm finna do; if your carpet is getting to the point where its really getting wet and you are starting to smell the mildew or the carpet is actually startin to change a color, remove the seats, then the console, and then the carpet and anything else you may have to (refer to your Haynes manual on How TO)and while the carpet is up check the flooring beneath...if you find your problemseal it somehow and then re-carpet. Other than that, I'm stumped myself on how my carpet is getting wet too any help out there?
