Yeah, probably Lumins. Kelvin is a measure of temperature, in the same units as Celsius but 0K is not the freezing point of water but "absolute zero", the freezing point of all molecular kinetic activity. When applied to light it is a measure of how close to pure white the light is. Generally Kelvin measures are used to rate video displays. It could be applied to headlights, but would be an indication of the color of the light, not the brightness.

 

i have silver star bulbs in all my cars & truck LOVE EM--brighter than stock bulbs & legal i even use the 1157s all around ---not cheap tho[sm=shades.gif]

 

i have silverstars until my HID Kit arrives 5000K

 

I just picked up some silver stars... mo fos costed me $40. They didnt even have the angel eye bulbs so I was like f' it, ill get some nice bulbs and throw them in my old headligth set up... im sure glad I didnt sell those.

 

switched out my hold headlights back in and threw those sylvania silvertars in there. They are brigth as $h!t !

 

6000K HID produces the most lighting output. But I personally like 8000K because it is almost as bright as the 6000K, yet the color is blueish which is very awesome and give you a look like BMW or Acura ( my next car is TL [8D] )

I am planning to get a set too.
