Default what type of rims would look good?

I went to get my tires balanced cause i was getting steering wheel vibrations at high speeds, and found out my steelies are bent. what better excuse to start searching for nicer rims?

I was wondering what color/style of rims would look good with my car. Definitely want either gold, black, or silver. Not sure how many spokes i should look for though. I am about to switch the chrome trimmed grill for a solid black mesh one if that makes a difference

I was thinking of staying 14'' or 15'' cause I think the bigger the rims, the harder the car has to work to rotate them, right? But I am not planning on doing a drop for at least the next year, would bigger rims give it the illusion of being lower? Im tired of looking like a subaru.

has anyone seen any cheap rims that use the same size tire as steelies, cause my tires are less than a year old and i dont really wanna buy new ones if i dont need to. If anyone is bored and wants to do some paint shop work, that'd be cool.

what do you think of these 14'' prelude si rims i found on craigslist for 200 obo. they are def not anywhere near my first choice, but pretty cheap.

I think some 15s would look excellent. Im going after ls mesh when I can afford them for myself. GSR blades look good and some aftermarkets too.

Exactly!
I'm excited because you understand this concept while every other n00b throws big and heavy rims on their Civic and doesn't think it's hurting their performance.

Bigger rims would only make it look a tiny bit lower, not enough to make it worth sacrificing gas mileage, acceleration, and ride quality to get bigger rims.

I would go with some 15" rims.

My opinion is since you're gonna spend on new rims anyways, might as well go for 15 inches. If you are serious about colored rims, I have bronze-finished rims on my Titanium Metallis Civic 4 door. The color blends well with each other. Gold color to me is too bright unless that's what you're going for.

I can't tell from your picture if your Civic is Titanium Metallic (looks like fading gold metallic paint), or is silver. If it is silver, then I'd go for Hyper or Gloss black, Gunmetal or polished silver.

Since price is one of your priorities then I recommend the following:

MB Drifter

Konig Minuz

Drag DR31

Liquid Metal Static

If you want some cheap rims, get the HX's.

I had these on my hatch before I started my conversion. I got all 4 of mine for $45. You could then get the lip chromed, and the interior powder coated black.

Here's what mine looked like, but I never got the lip chromed.

yeah, my car is titanium metallic. I like the liquid metallic ones, I will keep a lookout for some, what do you think the average price on those used would be?

I like those hx rims a lot also. Are they 14''? and what tire size do they take? would the tires on my stock rims fit ya think?

I found these at discounttiredirect.com They look similar to hx and are 234 shipped including valve stems. they look pretty nice. they are 14x5.5 so the tires on my steelies should fit them right? Anyone ever buy from this place before?
