I'm not saying that the first ones would reduce visibility, but could you explain the practicality part? Speaking from experience, projectors light up the road much, much better than conventional low-beams. The low-beams on my projectors lit up the road almost as well as the high beams on my stock headlights.
well said that man!

Your 100% correct. Most modern head lamps as seen in the BMW M3, dont have twin lamps for high and low beam, they use a shutter system, which meens that the Discharge lamp stays at the same brightness and colour temperture, and when you select high beam the shutter thats covering the lamp opens up slightly and allows more light throught. they also have remote reflection which means if you drive up hill then the lights ajust and aim down to the road to prevent dazzling on coming traffic, same with bumpy roads.

can you tell im a lighting designer lol

uuuuuh i'd prolly go wit hteh first ones if it was me. I have chrome/silver projectors right now and wish i had some black headlights. I thin kthe OEM style black headlights look awesome, but projectors look nice too.....i guess the first ones are just cleaner and not as played out as the ebay projectors, so thats why i'd choose them.
