I have an '08 coupe and I got the windows tinted in mid-July. My driver's side door window make a terrible noise when it rolls up and down, not to mention, every time I roll it up and down, a film is left on the window in perfect stripes. It's really bizarre because it doesn't make that noise on the other window, but it does leave that film on the passenger window. I'm taking it back tomorrow to the place to get it re-done because there were some bubbles in it, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with tint.

 

sounds more like you need to have your windows lubed up. If your tint was getting caught in the track it wold be peeling away from the window.

 

dito oil them up alittle around the tracks..... the soapy solution they use to apply the oil is probably kinda washed out alittle...
as to the wear point it might be the weatherstriping along the window might be rubbing against it...

Take a look at your weather stripping when your windows are up and then when they are down. Just take a flashlight and take a look down there

 

I've checked the weather stripping and it was folded the wrong way at one point, but I fixed it. The noises/residue on the window continue.
