I was wondering which brand do you suggest to purchase for xenon headlights for 2005 Civic which will last long. Also, does it ruin the lighting system in the long run by replacing the OEM halogen headlights with these xenon headlights?

There are many good deals on HID kits, I just wouldnt suggest looking at ebay.
I got my Bixenon $210 shipped from one of our sponsors.
And no it wont ruin your lighting system, it is plug and play

 

If you want the true HID look then you need to retrofit, i am planning that now and will hopefully start it soon, but it can be quite a hedach and a pretty penny, You can get a plug and Play HID kit, which will give about the same pattern in lighting as a halogen just alot brighter.
