I totally agree with you, the only reason I am leaving the D series platform is because in the end I am looking for alot more hp than a D can provide. But in the same sense I have allways kinda looked at a B series as a waist of money when talking boost vs the D series. I am for that reason swapping a K24 in. If everything goes as planned I will have a K24 6 speed swap in for around the price of a stock B18C5/DC2 Type R swap and I will have a 2.4 with bolt ons making more power than a fully built B series anything. On top of that I will be able to spool a bigger turbo which is where I am going with it.

i've driven my friends 99 si and it handles pretty well but i was not impressed with the power...stock it felt very weak at low end and wasnt too impressed at high end...not worth swaping a B series unless u plan on boosting it IMO. my D with i/h/e can keep up with my friends SI and he has an intake and short shifter..

Yeah it sounds like you hated the car, but just imagine how it would feel when you do all the work you have on your other car to the si.
The b16a2 is a good motor, but it did get overhyped because it is an easy motor to work on, but you can not call it a bad engine.
Also yeah how many si do you see on the road, and wheen you do see one dont you take a second look at it.

I see SI all the time. Thats not a bad thing around in my town I see 99-00(2) to 02-05(2 1 of the 2 is mine of course) and of course the 06 SI (2 some times 3) when every im at work.
I work with like 300 ppl when Im not on vaction. Which I am right now.

Damn that sounds cool, but at the same time not so cool to have an si. Where I live to this day I have only seen one more si and the rest are ex. I guess it all depends on the area you live in.

You see SI's everyday. All they are is a ex with a different engine, gauge cluster, and rims.
