512mbps download the same as 1.5mbps download??
no it isn't, ask you self, is 512megabytes the same as 1.5 megabytes? nope, i htink that the 512 speed would be kilobits not megabits, cause a 512megabits speed would be like warp 10, always desired but never obtainable. youe average dls/cable speed is arround 1.5 to 3.0mbps. with your 512 to 768kbps being your cheeper DSL service
well ok, assuming that mbps = mega bits per second then, 512 mbps = 64 MB/s (8 bits = 1 Byte) = 64 000 KB/s
then, 1.5 mbps = 1 500 kbps = 188 KB/s
64 000 KB/s >> 188 KB/s
in what context did you see these numbers?
64 MB/s is more the speed of a LAN and 188 KB/s sounds more like the speed of an Internet connection.
then, 1.5 mbps = 1 500 kbps = 188 KB/s
64 000 KB/s >> 188 KB/s
in what context did you see these numbers?
64 MB/s is more the speed of a LAN and 188 KB/s sounds more like the speed of an Internet connection.
yeah i couldn't remember the exact number so i hoped my vague explanation would help it.. Mill$ you won't be finding a 512mbps internet connection anytime soon
ya your right on the website, one says 512k and the other 1.5 mbps, sooo again sorry, which one would be faster?, im pretty illiterate when it comes to this stuff
yeah, your service might say 1.5mbps....but you will be limited to you ethernet card capabilities, your procesor, and your servers, if they are overloaded, then you will slow down...etc....
i have the 1.5mbps...and i only average 700-900kbps...
